Volunteer Repair experts from the Hanham Repair Cafe and other local Repair cafe groups will be on hand to help you fix your broken household items – electrical, furniture, mechanical, textile and almost everything in between!

Simply bring your item (and any parts that may be needed for the repair for example a new zip) along to Repair Fest, Check it in at the Info stand and the next available suitable Repair Volunteer will have a go at fixing it with you!


Haven’t had your bike checked in a while? Mat from John Woods Cycle Repair Centre will be on hand to check everything is in safe working order and make any minor adjustments as well as highlighting anything you might want to get looked at further!


Are you held back by poor pockets? Does the tyranny of fake pockets and tiny pockets mean you always have to carry a bag? Join the liberation – Pocket Manifesto and the People’s Pocket Improvement Programme!

Learn a new skill at one of the FREE Workshops. You can sign-up on the day from 11am. Workshop places are limited.


New to mending? Learning how to fix your clothes is a great life skill that will help to keep your favourite items going for longer.

In this workshop, Meret of Re_thrindle will teach you basic mending techniques, like fixing seams, re-attaching buttons, and simple patching. Bring an item in need of mending, all other materials will be provided.

Suitable for 16+ and U16s accompanied by a responsible Adult.


Mat from John Woods Cycle Repair centre will take you through everything you need to know to change an inner tube or repair a puncture. A lifelong skill to keep you on your bike!

Suitable for 16+ and U16s accompanied by a responsible Adult.


A fun, accessible and interactive workshop with original songs and uplifting rhythms. Learn and play rhythms with original songs (rhyme and rhythm aka “riffems”) and use audio looping pedals and other voice effects plus a junk hands free flute to add to the rhythm and voices.

Suitable for all Ages. U10s accompanied by a responsible Adult.
